Gilchrist ton crushes Mumbai’s Dream

Adam Gilchrist couldn’t have chosen a better stage than this to come good. Playing in a packed spanking new stadium, he stunned the Mumbai Indians with a blitzkrieg century to script a ten-wicket win in just 12.4 overs. Gilchrist scored 109 not out off just 48 balls, getting to his century off only 42 deliveries, overtaking teammate Andrew Symonds’ effort off 48 balls.His 109 not out was his first Twenty20 score above 50, the IPL’s fastest century, and the third-fastest in all Twenty20 matches. Dhoni is a true asset to the indian team and he has all the basics to lead the Indian team. He is a great keeper and a “solid” middle order batsman. He knows how to handle the pressure and how to bat according the situations. As said, Yuvraj needs to know his responsibilities and support Dhoni, who is backing Yuvraj despite his not-so-good batting form thru out the series. Delhi look the team to be, if I may say so, with a perfect blend of youth and experience. A top-class opening duo of McGrath and Asif proved too much, and Maharoof, Bhatia and Yo Mahesh kept it decent.
